If
you are ready to discover
a better
version of self and reality, know that
there is a new way life available whenever
you decide the time is right for you.
If you are experiencing a challenge in one or more of the main
staging areas of experience (love, health, wealth, or life
direction), here is a
simple practice you can begin using right away to help yourself.
-
Be
still. Take ten minutes each day to sit quietly with your eyes
closed. Allow yourself simply to observe whatever thoughts or
feelings come up, releasing all concern, conclusions, criticisms,
and judgments. Many students experience a surprising resolution
simply by practicing being still in this way.
2. Take
responsibility. Accept that you are the sole creator of the
situation, even if it appears to be resulting from the will of
others. Consider how this problem actually may be serving you,
either by protecting you from something you fear or imagine would be
worse. All of this operates at the level of belief, which may be
unwitting. For example, never having money may protect you from
being a “bad person,” if you believe that only bad people get ahead
in the world, and so on. These beliefs can be subtle and indirect,
we don’t recommend going on a witch hunt for whatever belief may be
operating. Instead, go right to step (3) below. And remember: Radical
responsibility is not blame!
3. Adopt
a better version of self: Witness the situation with poise,
deliberately inviting the feeling that you’re who you want to be, as
though the change you want is in your past rather than your future.
Look for evidence that what you want to be true about you is already
true, at least somewhat. Do this until you feel a sense of relief
and happiness. Throughout the day, rest in this feeling.
If you still feel stuck after diligent use of these steps, or the
situation does not improve naturally on its own, you may want to
consider a
